Dang Adds Unique "TLC" Approach to Fish/Seafood Market
Irving- Three words describe Irving's T.N.L. Seafood: "TLC" -... and that tender loving care (TLC) comes FRESH, LIVE or FROZEN.
TNL Superfood is one of the largest and best kept secrets in seafood in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Headed up by Manager David D. Dang, the 34,000 square-foot marketplace facility that has operated at 3113 N. Beltline Road, IRVING, TX, since December 2002 and is from an art and marketing perspective, a masterpiece.
Dang not only has recreated and linked his dream superstore to his Vietnamese heritage amd history, but also uses a combination of hard work, tested marketing principles and his love for people to underscore his commitment to the same.
It is a store with a true international touch and Dang's business savvy clearly caters to each customer personally.
"We love what we do," Dang said. "Our goal is simple. To satisfy by providing our customers with the freshest fish on the market."
Dang also was instrumental in the successful marketing, development and nurturing of the NGUYEN LOI Oriental Supermarket located in Haltom City.,TX
That store's success is due in part to the constant commitment to provide good service to its customers and the selling of quality unique Asian Food, fresh produce, seasonal fruit and live and fresh seafood.
His journey from vision to reality in Haltom City involved revitalizing an economically depressed and forgotten area of the city. His efforts allowed Asian and Pacific-Islander residents living in Tarrant County an opportunity to shop in stores and environments more accustomed to their culture. He was recognized by the United States Department of Commerce in 2001 for his successes and has been involved in mentoring other small businessmen and women.
In Irving, Dang has embarked on his most largest operation to date focusing on adding the most popular seafood assortments that appeal to international, domestic and developing a local customer base that looks for and demands special combinations of fish and seafood cuisines.
His is one of the largest selections of fresh seafood in North Texas and includes catfish, grouper and flounder to shrimp, scallops to lobster, crabs and squid to name a few. All combinations are available fresh, frozen or live and provide fresher selections and more options than most seafood counters at major grocery chains.
Twice the size of his Haltom City operations, Dang works hard to maintain those increasing demands for fresh fish by bringing fresh delivering in twice weekly and live catches four times a week.
What a visitor will find entering the facility, customers will find a clean, compliant store with an outdoor fish market environment complete with sights, sounds, real and raw odor of seafood.
"We know fresh seafood creates a natural odor and we apologize and do our best to minimize it," he said. "This is a fish market with an international flavor and I hope our customers understand that our goal is to keep things as fresh and as close to the natural environment as possible."
However, the gem of Dang's work is not the recreation of the natural fish market environment, but in his strategy that includes not only a 100-percent freshness guarantee and a selection satisfaction policy but also stretches far beyond and goes the extra mile to include FREE CLEANING AND FREE FRY of any fish or seafood combination - currently not offered by any other market of its kind in the Metroplex.
"This is our special and uniquie service we provide to all customers that come and purchase seafood," he said. "We do this so that our customers do not have to be concerned or worried about taking that seafood home and having to deal with spotcleaning or the odor from cooking greases in the home."
For non-profit organizations and churches, Dang also offers special deals and pricing for seafood orders for special scheduled events. Part of his expanded goals for the near future include holding more special events for the community.
"We support our community and love giving back," he said. "It is our hope that those relationships will grow and develop here in Irving as well."
During the month of March, TNL is offering a special 10-percent discount towards the next food or seafood purchase when on-line coupon is printed off and presented to cashier at TNL checkout counter. (Print Coupon/Cut at Bottom of Story)
"We are reaching out to all communities," he said. "We welcome everyone to TNL to see for themselves the large selections we offer in every category."
